I am eager to work in an environment where I can creatively and effectively tell stories, as well as use the multimedia journalism skills I learned while attending the Missouri School of Journalism.
Currently, I work as the morning reporter and occasional fill-in anchor on Spectrum News for Charter Communications. I have also worked hand-in-hand with multiple digital teams and have experience producing. I raise my hand to volunteer and contribute to the team at every given opportunity.
I am extremely motivated, organized and disciplined. No matter where I have been employed, I have produced quality work because I am dedicated to making sure each and every piece stands out.
One of my professional accomplishments was being chosen as one of a select few reporters to produce special pieces for our previous company's Season of Giving Back Series. I love being able to highlight good work going on in the community. One of the stories I produced, for the series, featured a man who took his dog's horrible experience and turned it into an opportunity to help others.
Another, more personal, accomplishment was telling a story that truly made a difference. Through a feature piece, about one little girl with a big heart, I was able to illicit the spirit of giving back. High school students on the other side of the state saw my story and were so inspired they decided to give back, too. Here's how.
I am married and the mom to Major, an English Bulldog. I am the oldest of three children in a family of five. I was born in Southern California, grew up in Seattle, and moved to Missouri while I was in middle school. I set high goals for myself, and strive everyday to achieve my dreams. My family is very important to me, and without their support I would not be where I am today.
